Each piece is itself a limited edition. No more than 25 of any one design is made and often there are fewer than 5 of each design.
One of a kind pieces are also created, as when the designer sees a unique gemstone, it has to find its way into her collections.
Each piece is individually handmade, meaning that all silverwork is handmade by a silversmith, not cheaply poured into a mold and cast.
Silver is purchased as 99.9% pure silver bead, then melted down by each expert silversmith and blended with 7.5% copper, to create sterling silver. Sterling silver is stronger than pure silver and this ensures the longevity of each piece, whilst retaining the lustre and beauty of the silvers original purity.
Sterling silver will not tarnish as fast as lesser quality silver blends; it is not uncommon to see cheaply made cast silver jewelry tarnishing very quickly- as the higher percentage of lesser quality metals, whilst lowering the manufacture cost, will also lower the quality of the finished product.
